MMP Consultancy are currently sourcing for Head of Compliance for an interim contract with a Public-Sector organisation in London.

Ensuring compliance with all landlord statutory and non-statutory obligations across the full range of landlord compliance responsibilities, demonstrate leadership in planning, developing and implementing practices to recruit, motivate and develop staff whilst improving service delivery, efficiency and profitability.


Title: Head of Compliance
Salary: £450 to £650 per day (LTD) Outside IR35

Location: London, 100% working from home.
Contract: Rolling 3-month contract

Key Duties:

* Ensure team members are suitably qualified and competent to manage their service area.
* Management of internal staff, external stakeholders, contractors, and specialist consultants.
* Budget management against performance.
* Responsible for the maintenance of all mechanical and safety installations, ensuring effective delivery of repairs/upgrades relating to all equipment and compliance with legislation, standards, and industry best practice.
* Ensuring contracts are compliant with the client's internal policies and procedures.
* Procurement and contract management of all service providers specialist to compliance.
* Manage the installation process regarding input of design, specification and data.
* Achieve long term value for money in alignment with the annual, 5 and 30 year asset strategies throughout compliance.
* Prepare regular performance monitoring reports for discussion at management team meetings.
* Reporting for executive, board Prepare and present reports to Executive Team, Board and Committee. Ensuring accuracy, maximising systems and robust auditing processes.
* Attend Resident and Committee meetings and present reports on operational areas of responsibility. Ensure the reporting mechanisms on key performance indicators are carried out in accordance with agreed requirements.
* Increase customer satisfaction and improve tenant engagement in a hope for service improvement.
* Strategic development of the service including new policies and procedures and systems to support continuous improvement with written reports and presentations to senior managers providing advice and recommendations.


* Educated to degree level or equivalent. (Preferred)
* Professionally qualified in construction or related discipline (Preferred)


* Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills coupled with leadership, delegation and people management skills.
* Collaborative approach to leading and engaging teams to exceed targets, perform to a high standard consistently and deliver customer focused services.
* In depth knowledge and understanding of the diverse lifestyles and needs of residents.
* High level of knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Service Issues and the regulatory framework
* Knowledge/awareness of the strategic property investment needs of the company
* Knowledge of EU Procurement Directives and EU tendering rules.
* Partnering and a range of procurement mechanisms and procedures
* Management best practice and techniques.
* Building practice, building law and emerging trends
* Landlord and tenant issues arising from leasehold properties
* Knowledge of environmentally friendly building techniques
* Experience of resolving contractual disputes and acting as an expert witness

Systems / I.T Experience

* Previous use of Keystone, Civica Asset Management System
* Experience of establishing and maintaining e-filing systems
