Due to continued success we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Head of Commercial who can drive a complex ERP software solutions business with their existing clients. Flexible location to be based in Europe.

You will have a strong track history as a leader within the software solutions arena and will be able to demonstrate your ability in strengthening and growing businesses opportunities in this field. This role offers genuine long-term opportunities with a clear path to moving into a CEO position within the group.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and Managing the commercial function to ensure all sales and customer retention objectives are met
  • Overseeing the sales strategy development and execution alongside the current CEO
  • Establishing and monitoring a customer retention strategy
  • Maximising the overall revenue for the business
  • Overseeing the annual maintenance renewals process and ensuring timely completion
  • Ensuring effective management of all accounts, opportunities, activities, tasks, contacts and leads
  • Setting and driving the culture for the commercial function
  • Managing risk for the commercial function
  • Contributing as a key member of the leadership team

Required skills & attributes:

  • The proven ability to set clear objectives, and motivate yourself and others to consistently achieve outstanding and sustainable results.
  • Outstanding leadership and communications skills.
  • Proven experience in driving and developing strategy to maximise revenue from existing customers.
  • A strong client service mind-set
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to engage with customers and turning around challenging customer accounts.
  • Experience of managing and developing account management teams within a complex business
  • Ability to act in a self-directed self-motivated manner, demonstrating initiative, innovative thinking and to juggle competing priorities through outstanding time management skills
  • Ability to work worldwide in a multi-cultural environment.

Required qualifications & experience:

  • (Bachelor Degree) in Business or a relevant industry related discipline
  • Extensive experience successfully overseeing account management and or / sales teams in a software solutions business
