This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the fastest growing, medium-sized, business services groups in the UK. 

Following recent acquisitions and a fresh injection of growth capital, the Group CCO will be tasked with bringing fresh energy, sophistication and pace as the group embarks on a very exciting phased of further growth, that will include its first activities outside of the UK.

As Group CCO, you will be responsible for the performance of all activity across Sales, Marketing, Product and Customer Experience. Driving improved cross-functional working practices, sharpening commercial behaviours, improving sales performance, opening new markets (both in the UK and overseas) and bringing fresh energy, passion and drive to the organisation, you will have full P&L accountability for the commercial success of the business.

This organisation has a strong market share with huge potential for further market penetration. Furthermore, there are new market opportunities as well as product extension and cross-sell opportunities that are ready to be leveraged. The potential is significant.

Applications are invited from Chief Commercial Officers, Commercial Director or Managing Directors, with a proven track record in delivering growth and creating value within a private equity backed business.

From a sales background, you will have a bias towards B2B or B2B2C, and will have a proven track record of galvanising organisations and delivering high levels of profitable growth. Likely to be from a technology or broader business services background, you will possess a high level of emotional intelligence, alongside a strong academic pedigree.

With a passion for working hard and with a clear drive to create value for the owner, as well as yourself and the rest of the Board, you will be ambitious, commercial and successful.

Specific capabilities required are outlined below:

  • Successful track record of leading a medium or large business through a period of dramatic, profitable and sustainable growth ideally in a high volume, low value environment
  • Strong strategic mindset, with a clear understanding of how to take advantage of all appropriate sales and marketing channels - traditional and digital
  • An experienced and credible leader, passionate about growth, colleagues, customers and wealth creation
  • Confident, inspiring, steeped in natural gravitas - capable of earning exceptional levels of followship
  • Proven track record of creating and implementing a growth plan that has QUADRUPLED a business
  • Meticulous attention to detail, a love of data, insight and CRM-based sales management 
  • Low-ego, collegiate approach with an a mentality that takes pleasure from influencing others and enjoying seeing them be successful as a result of your guidance, support, coaching and leadership
  • A natural affinity to, or experience of, private-equity style value creation
