My client is a high-end, fast growth privately owned London based consultancy who are currently going through a period of rapid growth. They are looking for a Strategic Sales Director to expand their Public Sector / UK Central Government client base and build long-lasting relationships within Emerging Technology, Cyber Security, Big Data and Digital Transformation. They are looking for industry-specific specialists who are well known in their field. In particular we are looking for senior candidates that have specific knowledge in particular working across UK Central Government including DCMS, MoD, Home Office, NHS, DEFRA, DWP, MoJ HMRC, DfE, DVLA, BEIS and Government Digital Service (GDS) selling technology consulting services.

The role will largely involve connecting with potential customers and working closely with C-Level client contacts to create sales pipelines. This is a stand-alone role for someone with an extensive UK central government network in the Public Sector.

This is truly a high reward type of role where you could earn up to 7 figures !!!! We are looking for people to effectively run a business within a business. Almost like a Partner level role with uncapped earnings and above market remuneration available. Only the best should apply..

This person will need to be strategic, commercial and have previous experience selling professional services. They will need to come from a sales or consulting background as well as previous experience of selling services into the UK Central Government.

Key responsibilities:

  • Along with the CEO, shape overall business strategy and growth plans for business development into the UK Central Government
  • Map key client accounts and stakeholders within new client accounts
  • Provide market feedback regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas
  • Hit agreed business development targets
  • Identify, pursue and close new business development opportunities
  • Lead client development and relationship management
  • Develop a pipeline of inbound business
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Stakeholder management
  • Develop detailed proposals and business cases for individual clients
  • Plan strategic initiatives with clients
