After a recent contract award, our client is currently recruiting for a Commercial Project Director to head up a major £100m+ infrastructure project in the South of England. Reporting into the Sector Director, you will be commercially responsible for the Principal Contractor JV.

Initially the role can be based WfH during the Procurement phase, then a mix of Office/Project based in Hampshire and remote working during the Enabling, Construction and Delivery phase.

The ideal candidate will be from a Tier 1 Contractor background, with extensive major project infrastructure and stakeholder management experience.

This role would suit an experienced Senior Commercial Manager looking to step up to Project Commercial Director, who is strategically minded and is comfortable with "hands on with delivery" and driving the project forward. They will need to have exceptional man management and people management skills up and down stream, with strong influencing, Stakeholder Management, engagement and motivational skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building the team from internal / JV staff and external hires, commercial strategy, commercial and financial management.

As the ideal candidate, you will have the following experience:

• Degree qualified in in Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying or relevant degree and experience
• Chartered with relevant institute
• From an Infrastructure & Contractor background, with commercial responsibility delivering circa £100m
• Excellent NEC (NEC3 Option E upstream and NEC3 Options A, B , E downstream), commercial and financial management experience
• Needs a strong all-rounder, strong delivery and general contracting experience, excellent contractual awareness and stakeholder management skills
