Pricing and Commercial Finance Manager

Totum are delighted to be working with one of the City's leading law firms which is looking for a Pricing and Commercial Finance Manager to join its busy team in central London. The Team is actively engaged in preparing pricing propositions for clients, the consideration of alternate methods of delivering legal service in more profitable ways, providing finance decision support, and driving strategic projects running across the business including commercial analysis of growth through lateral hire and merger/new opportunity business cases. A wide range of tasks is undertaken by the team, many of which fall outside of the routine deliverables of the function. Responsibilities extend beyond solely finance-led activities and where necessary the role participates in wider cross-functional projects running across the firm where investments are being made or broader processes/procedures updated.

The role makes a significant contribution during many aspects of the appraisal and implementation of major investment decisions (during both strategic projects and regular budgetary management) to ensure that costs planned to be incurred are appropriate and do not unnecessarily expose the firm to financial risk. • Process Efficiency
• Business Planning
• Business Performance Assessment

Applicants will need to have previously worked in a commercial finance role in a law firm or similar professional services environment and had extensive experience of working closely with Partners and other senior-level stakeholders. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial information to non-accounting stakeholders is a prerequisite.
