Our client has instructed us to go out to market and source an Account Executive with a demonstrable track record winning new business and growing current accounts. Their remit will be to sell both cloud and on premises solutions to a variety of verticals.

Client Details

Although they have offices around the world, they have no physical presence in the UK. Despite that much of their senior management team is based here for easy access from London airports to both Europe and North America - two key markets for the company. The business supplies a cloud and on premises SAAS solution to retail, pharma, manufacturing and automotive clients. They have grown significantly in the last few years and 2020 has not slowed them down. They are expecting to continue this fast growth in 2021.

Description

The Account Executive will lead the sales in UK&I to acquire new business from target and existing end user customers. These customers will typically be multi-location, global companies with dispersed operations where complex solutions are required using our client's software platform and services.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage the entire sales cycle from contact of sales qualified leads to securing a deal
  • Responsible for achieving defined business goals and tracking progress against them
  • Develop and implement strategic and operational plans to achieve business targets
  • Lead the business planning process within a defined segment and vertical market
  • Execute against plan by carrying out sales calls via phone, video conference and in person
  • Build strong relationships with key clients on various levels
  • Collaborate internally in the development of larger opportunities
  • Train colleagues to share experience, knowledge and expertise
  • Monitor competitor activity and report on important developments

Profile

The successful applicant for the Account Executive role will have:

  • BA or BSc in a relevant commercial subject
  • Significant sales and business development experience in a B2B SAAS sales environment
  • A demonstrable track record of success selling directly to major accounts
  • Solution selling methodology training and applicable experience using it
  • Demonstrated success against sales quotas / targets
  • International sales experience or experience of successfully working with other nationalities and cultures
  • Fluent in English with any other European languages as a big plus

  • High intellectual capacity and strategic ability, able to develop ideas and data into concrete plans and actions
  • A results oriented, creative, strategic thinker with high energy and broad vision
  • Proactive, takes initiative and is highly self-motivated
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and explain them clearly to technical and non-technical people
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with customers and to work within a team
  • Effective tactical sales skills, able to lead the process from initial stages to closure
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills

Job Offer

£70,000 to £80,000 base plus commission and benefits
