We have been mandated to conduct the search for a Chief Risk Officer on behalf of an extremely prestige private bank. Founded in the 17th century, they have developed an innate understanding of the intricacies of wealth and have a time-honoured proposition that aligns to their client’s needs. They remain at the forefront of the industry, having won multiple Private Asset Management awards in 2018 and 2020.
The relatively inelastic nature of the firm has resulted in a solid 2020 with stability at the core of the strategy. They are looking for an individual to join the executive team reporting directly into the CEO and be responsible for the all risk management and compliance activities for the firm. As such you will be responsible for the risk management strategy including, identification, evaluation, management and oversight of both the internal and external risks.
The individual will be required to build and develop upon the risk management function and build upon their pre-exciting relationship with the FCA. They are looking for an individual who has ideally held the SFM4, SMF16 and SM17 responsibilities previously and is keen to do so again. The incoming candidate will have extensive experience leading and managing risk management functions ideally in a successful regulated banking environment. A technical background with experience in participation in financial services executive communicates and broader FS strategic leadership.
