My client is a privately owned business with an excellent reputation, for quality, customer service and individual design.

The business operates under the guidance of a highly professional, high-calibre board and senior management team and is now looking to complement that with the appointment of a Non- Executive Director.

Suitable candidates will be experienced professionals who have operated or are currently operating at Director level.

There is no preference regarding company ownership background (PLC, private or private equity), but you must be able to offer a constructive but challenging critical eye and input regarding the company's strategic and operational challenges.

You will have a background in construction, property development, housebuilding, building products, or a similar sector.

This may be your first NED role or could form an addition to an existing portfolio.

An understanding of the regional (Midland) market and trading environment would be a distinct advantage.
