Large global energy organisation seeking a Security Operations Centre Head to provide overall leadership, guidance and direction to its Security Operations Centre (SOC) team on a 24x7x365 basis, to monitor and detect cybersecurity-related situations in order to effectively mitigate immediate and potential threats.

Required Skills & Experience
*15+ years of overall experience in Information Security/Cybersecurity.
*7+ years working in a Security Operations Centre with leading SIEM software.
*2+ years of running an integrated SOC based on ICT and ICS systems preferably in the Energy sector.
*7+ years in a leadership role.
*Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant degree.
*Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, CISM, GCFA, GCIH, GCED, GRID.
*Experience in building and maintaining a high-performance team of monitoring and threat hunting analysts.
*Knowledgeable with global and regional regulatory and compliance requirements (eg NISS, NIA, Qatar Data Protection Law etc.)
*Expertise with industry standard frameworks like ITIL, NIST, ISO 27001.
*Experience in networking, application and telecommunications integration, design and architecture.
*Demonstrable skills for designing Security Operations Centre procedures, programs and services across a globally diverse environment.
*Knowledge of:
- Incident response and handling methodologies.
- Enterprise incident response programs, roles, and responsibilities.
- Cyber defence and vulnerability assessment tools and their capabilities.

- Intrusion detection methodologies and techniques for detecting host and network-based intrusions.
- New and emerging information and cybersecurity technologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management including Board members.
