Our Client due to continued and longterm success are looking to engage with a Product Development Director.

The Development Director is a management leadership role, accountable for all product development activities across the multiple disciplines of software, firmware, electronic and mechanical design.

This is a great opportunity for a Development Director to join a well established leading provider of financial services hardware and software solutions who are moving their business forward at pace.

The Development Director will be an innovator and will be instrumental in making serious decisions regarding which technologies to invest in to develop and support the product.

The Development Director will take on the technical risk and responsibility for technical escalation regarding performance and security, representing the company at the highest level with customer and partner organisations.

Main Responsibilities

* Lead and inspire development teams to work with the company to build world class products.
* Managing multiple Teams both on/offshore and outsourced solutions.
* Facilitate regular reporting by implementing management portals and BI platforms to track budget and delivery of committed development.
* Provide leadership and authority to process adherence and improvement to maintain ISO and similar accreditations.
* Take ownership of product safety certification for all sales territories globally.
* The selection and use of design and development tools and methodologies
* Maintain a development plan that is aligned and delivered with the strategic technical vision.
* Maintain the viability and commercial optimisation of the overall product system architecture.
* Be accountable for the overall product solution integrity and security as used in the field.

Specific Knowledge & Skill Sets
* Monitoring, diagnostics and networking interdependencies
* Integrity of design including automated and regression test plans etc.
* Project management (Agile/Waterfall etc) techniques
* Communicate and ensure engagement by the Development community for internal technology strategies and collaboration methods.
* Promote the company and its vision as required to customers, partners and industry media.
* Provide all regular line management communication for development teams.
