We are looking to recruit an IT Infrastructure Project Manager on a contract basis to manage the delivery of new IT infrastructure across a number of key operational sites. This also includes the migration of applications and data to support a government department which is currently undergoing a significant transformation programme of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of risk minimised transition to the new IT infrastructure solution
• Successful migration of existing applications and data from an existing hosting solution across to another government department.
• Transparent and efficient management of dependencies and constraints

Key Deliverables

• Work closely with the Business senior team and Project Manager to ensure the successful planning and delivery of the required IT infrastructure, including the migration of business data and applications.
• Device Deployment - Planning and coordination to support the roll-out of 677 devices across the department.
• Infrastructure and Printing Solution - Work with two central government departments Digital and Technology Team (DaTT) to design and manage the delivery of required Infrastructure at key UKSV team sites including network connectivity and printing solution.
• Decommissioning - Work in collaboration with government departments to co-ordinate and manage the decommissioning of current laptops. This includes the migration of hosted applications and data across to devices.
• Laptop Recall - Co-ordinate the return of laptops to support the urgent need across HMG for devices to support business priority work.
• Future Laptop Roll Out - Co-ordinate the future UKSV wide roll-out of SECRET devices across UKSV. This includes the migration of hosted applications and data across to devices.
• Infrastructure Delivery - Work with the team to design and manage the delivery of required Infrastructure at key UKSV team sites including network connectivity and printing solution.
• Data Storage - Work with the Knowledge Information Management (KIM) team to agree on the document management solution to meet UKSV requirements.
