A small yet dynamic housing association in London is looking for a new interim head of compliance to help shape and run a newly created function. The ultimate aim is to ensure that the client remains compliant with all relevant legislation and regulation pertaining to the homes. The team provides investment planning, fire Risk assessment, contract management, compliance and performance monitoring. You are also a member of the leadership team driving forward the corporate plan, performance of the business and leading the way for the staff and working with our customers.
This individual will either have operated as a head of compliance for a small housing association, or run an assets of property function and have a genuine flair an enthusiasm for compliance and data quality
The Key Responsibilities:
Bring together a cohesive compliance team using the current infrastructure and skills and integrate into the business
Ensuring compliance of all areas related to our properties and providing assurance to the Board and Executive
Review current contract management processes and make recommendations to ensure data flow from start to finish
Day to day responsibility of compliance and strategic lead on all legislative changes and risks in property safety working with the fire safety team
Ensuring delivery of all actions related to Fire Risk Assessments through capital and revenue expenditure
Providing assurance to the Board and Executive on data accuracy, information and processes to collect this data.
Recruit and resource the team
The Ideal Candidate for the Role:
Experience of setting up or transforming landlord compliance functions, either as a head or compliance or as head of assets or property
Broad technical knowledge in all areas of compliance, in particular gas and M&E
Experience Managing Health & Safety with Construction (Design & Management) Regulations
Excellent understanding of current housing related standards and statutory compliance obligations
This contract is ideally at FTC for a year.
