Head of Sales (Europe)-Medical & Life Sciences- Germany/UK based- Permanent opportunity

I am currently working with a global technology consultancy who are on the lookout for an experienced Head of Sales to look after their Sales department across Europe within their Medical & Life Sciences department. This is a permanent opportunity, and you must live in either Germany or the UK.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • This position will have the primary responsibility of leading the sales in the Medical & Life Sciences domain in the Europe Region.
  • Responsibility for the Growth (revenue / market share) and profitability, leveraging global business model.
  • Responsibility for developing the strategic plan for the business portfolio to enhance the competitive position and the key accounts' overall performance, with the objective of enhancing the company's competitive position and overall performance.
  • Responsibility for enlarging the client base in the sector, acquiring significant new business through backward and forward integration of existing accounts, as well as by opening up new accounts.
  • Responsibility for personally acquiring very large and key accounts in the sector, and managing them at the strategic level to ensure ongoing revenue streams and relationships.
  • Responsibility for building and maintaining a strong favorable identity for the organization within the industry through interaction with key influencers and decision makers in the market.
  • Create and drive effective sales initiatives and manage spending budgets for sales activities (local trade shows, educational efforts, etc.).
  • Proactively identify and communicate changes in the Engineering industry, delivery systems, and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasting.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience successfully managing sales teams ideally from a similar industry.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business and to achieve the growth rate possible and expected within the region.
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to inspire sales teams.
  • Demonstrable experience as Head of Sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions.
  • Must bring a proven track record of managing multiple territories.
  • Must be able to speak English on a professional or fluent level.
