The NWBLT brings together leaders of national and international businesses with substantial commitments and interests in the North West of England. Working together they lead, inspire, and harness the power of business to help deliver sustainable prosperity to the North West of England.

Launched by HRH Prince of Wales over 30 years ago, the NWBLT’s mission is clear ‘to make the North West the UK’s most attractive region in which to live and work for generations to come’. Their inclusive and collaborative approach places the needs of communities and all people at the heart of what they do. They are recognised for their unique role as an influential business-led voice for the North West, addressing the strategic issues affecting the well-being and prosperity of the region.

To support the delivery of their operating plan, the NWBLT is seeking to appoint a driven, collaborative, and articulate Head of Growth & Innovation Policy. The successful candidate will bring an understanding of the challenges facing businesses and regional economies, a sound knowledge of current innovation and enterprise policy; experience of private sectors, and partnering with senior leaders.

As a key member of a small and agile team, your role will be to lead the development of the NWBLT’s Enterprise and Innovation work. Making a difference to the economy and communities of the region at this critical time as they seek to ‘build back better’. Working closely with the Board and Team Members, you will drive crucial activity aligned to financing the region’s innovative businesses and people.

You will ‘hit the ground running’, be organised, curious, a self-starter, and a team player. In return, you will gain ample career development, exposure across a wide range of sectors, regular interaction with senior business leaders, politicians, and the Mayoral authorities.
