Sales Director - Catering & Hospitality Supplies

Description

The Sales Director - Catering & Hospitality Supplies - will achieve the company's business plan and required profitability and at the same time ensure that customer service and the relationships with customers is maintained to a first-class standard.

Key duties shall include:

  • Accurately forecast sales revenue, manage the overall sales pipeline through regular sales reviews and meetings
  • Identify and convert profitable sales opportunities as well as efficiently managing the existing customer group
  • Maximise the existing customer base, leveraging all opportunity to increase volume through these relationships
  • Identify new sales channels and customers, based in demand and trends in certain categories
  • Review the existing product ranges, identify the areas of focus and growth and create sales strategies to increase revenues in the right areas
  • Grow and develop the sales team, nurture their sales skills and support the closing of all sales
  • Mentor, motivate and lead a high-performing team and grow the sales/business development portfolios of the business
  • Constantly deliver first-class customer service to all through great product knowledge and relationship development skills
  • Continually immerse yourself in the client's needs, and the way their business evolves
  • Design, build and execute and effective pipeline of new business and incremental business to support the sales targets
  • In conjunction with the marketing manager, take responsibility for the catalogue and all marketing material for customers - create inspiring and aspirational offer-filled publications and communication for all key customers and new customers
  • Manage / oversee social media communication from the business and through the website; Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc. maximising my client's position to its followers and future followers
  • Ensure that all payments of invoices coincide with company targets and manage any debt portfolio very closely in conjunction with the finance team

Profile

The successful candidate for this Sales Director - Catering & Hospitality Supplies position will have a proven track record of successfully increasing market share in a previous role. You will be a proactive, resilient sale leader and an all round commercially minded candidate who is self-motivated and gets a buzz from great sales results.

In addition, we are looking for the following in this candidate:

  • Track record of achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales and profit targets, with experience of building and executing sales plans
  • Getting results through developing a high-performing team
  • Ability to generate and close brand-new business opportunities
  • Ability to scale up, perform then outperform in a sales leadership role - coming in with ambitions of growing business but also their own career
  • It would be advantageous that the candidate has some knowledge of the catering supplies, catering equipment, tableware, glassware industry and relevant sectors and customers
  • A hands-on individual, someone who continues to enjoy the buzz of the sales environment but also building excellent and lasting relationships with key customers
  • Excellent man-management experience, track record of getting excellent results through the development of sales teams
  • The role is based in Outer London and therefore access around the M25 and Greater London area is essential
