The Royal Mint - Diversity and Inclusion/International Consumer Markets
Non-Executive Director
£20,000 for circa 15 days per annum

The Royal Mint is a unique organisation with a strong brand. In operation since 886AD the organisation has a rich and proud history. Over the past 1,000 years, the business has had to change in order to thrive and is now embarking on the next phase of their evolution for the 21st century.

The business is pursuing a customer-focused, marketing-led strategy to deliver relevant and transformational products and services to a diverse range of UK and international customers, exporting products to over 25 countries, across five continents.

As well as being the market leader in the design, manufacture and sales of high quality circulating and commemorative coins, The Royal Mint has a range of exciting new businesses within its portfolio, including precious metal investments, a Collector Services division specialising in historic coins, and our award winning tourist attraction The Royal Mint Experience.

They are seeking to hire a non-executive director to help them embed a diversity strategy and culture to attract a greater range of talent and provide a deeper insight into the needs and motivations of all customers; and help realise their strategy of creating a portfolio of businesses with international reach, to ensure the next 1,000 years are as rich with stories and as successful as the previous millennium.

Experience of leading a culture of diversity and inclusion, both from a customer product and proposition point of view, as well as internally, is highly sought for this role. Additionally, individuals with a wealth of experience in consumer international markets and a track record of achievement in commercial roles leading strategic development in the face of changing markets, preferably in international markets, is beneficial. Applications from non-UK based candidates are welcome.
