European VP of Engineering

Harvey Nash are working with an exciting global provider of commercial payment solutions on the hunt for an experienced hands on technology leader. As VP of Engineering you will inspire and energize the business with your ideas for the deployment of technology to solve complex business issues and create competitive advantage across their product and geographies.

You will lead and grow a team of excellent development, analysis and quality focused engineers in building and running and growing new technology platforms for unified customer experience, mobile and digital self-service and electronic payments

You need to be aware of emerging technology trends and demonstrate where technologies such as block chain and RPA can support business and meet real life use cases

Our client are also looking to make more use of cloud, so knowledge of cloud products and capabilities, serverless computing, containerisation and orchestration on AWS in particular is mandatory

Your background will be in software engineering and you will be able to apply practical knowledge and experience to build better software solutions and have hands on knowledge of full stack technologies such as PHP, Mulesoft, Webserver, HTML5, JavaScript and Automation tools

Excellent experience in design and delivery of class leading UX and Front End systems is also a must for this role

This role is best suited to those technology leaders that continue to stay close to the tech, so experience in start ups would be highly beneficial.

Salary - circa GBP140,000 plus Benefits
