£12,000 per annum for circa 6 days per month, plus an additional £2,500 per annum should you be invited to chair a sub-committee

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking candidates who are inclusive team players, who will both support and challenge as part of the Trust Board and help the Trust deliver first-class patient care to its complex city, rural and coastal populations.  You will use your experience and expertise to provide guidance, governance, scrutiny and support in the development and execution of a clear clinically led strategy to transform secondary care in East Kent. You will also shape the culture of the organisation, its values and behaviours, ensuring they are demonstrated by the Board in all its actions.

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate a strong understanding of, and ideally, experience in Non-Executive Directorships. You will also have board level experience in a large, complex customer facing organisation and bring deep digital & technology, estates management or finance & audit expertise through your senior level experience.
