This is a rare opportunity to join the senior leadership team of a c. £130m manufacturer of specialist products with aftermarket which is sold through a network of specialist dealerships.  The client is a highly successful manufacturer, a market leader with a developing product range, and a steep growth plan over the next five years.  Reporting to the Directors, the key challenge in this role is to deliver the growth plan for the business.  There is an established direct sales centre at the company’s head office, additional field-based sales colleagues and the company has an established UK and international network of c. 150 dealerships and distributors.  The role is hands-on in nature, you will work with the dealerships, develop and improve sales processes, and build the brand.  A high calibre graduate qualified individual who can lead from the front is required, you will have a detailed and methodical approach.  You will have the capability to move from high detail and tactical selling within current UK/Europe/ROW networks through to establishing dealer agreements in new geographies, this will be led and delivered by yourself through a small sales team but with strong links to other functions to leverage scale and capability.  You will be able to demonstrate progression in your career through various levels of sales management, have a real strength in dealer development, and also have the ability to input at the Board level, adding to the strategic debate and bringing to realisation the company’s sales growth objectives.  With regard to sector experience you will need to have worked with products that offer a wide range, are high volume, sold through dealerships and distributors, and also include aftermarket elements.  Products of particular interest include agriculture, tractors, trailers, caravans, campers or specialist plants, machinery, and equipment.  The company has a friendly, open, hardworking, and very professional culture and is looking through this key appointment for a highly qualified and effective long-term addition to its senior leadership team.  You must also be committed to the company’s head office located in the North West of England and you will be expected to live within the region.  The benefits package is as expected for a role at this level and seniority and you will be given lots of scopes to make an impact.
