IT Director - £100,000 - £120,000 - Oxford

Our client is looking for an IT Director to join their fantastic and ever-growing company on a permanent basis to manage the clients end to end IT and to be responsible for the disaster recovery and business continuity plan creation. Our client is looking for someone that has worked within the Pharmaceutical sector.

In order to be a successful IT Director with our client, the ideal candidate will need to have worked with the following:

  • Microsoft
  • Office 365
  • Azure
  • Citrix
  • Oracle

Key Responsibilities as an IT Director :

  • To develop and implement an IT strategy and roadmap for the Group.
  • Maintenance of IT policies and accreditation to best practice.
  • To manage global IT with administration of networks, servers, unified communications
  • Responsibility for ensuring the response and resolution of all queries and issues as they arise
  • Managing the timely back up of business IT systems to business recovery time objectives Providing coverage to ensure support to the business as required
  • Responsibility for delivering a company wide Business Continuity Plan and ensuring its update to reflect business change.
  • To ensure permanently maintained hardware to meet requirements for customer support and testing
  • Evaluation of hardware, software and services to ensure we have the appropriate technology to meet company requirements and to make recommendations as required
  • Management of IT budget
  • Responsibility for company compliance with software licencing
  • To support the Group's M&A programme with IT due diligence and integration of new acquisitions as required
  • Line management responsibility for IT team members
  • Support and coach team members to ensure they deliver to best practice in line with current IT processes and procedures
  • Support and encourage team collaboration and a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Act as the owner for the team in wider communications and collaboration with the wider Brady business
  • Coach and mentor individual team members on an ongoing basis to review performance, goals, objectives through initiatives such as quarterly Courageous Conversations, task performance assessments, learning sessions, group mentoring
  • Encourage and arrange suitable training for the team and individual team members to ensure an up to date skill set
  • Review and analyse skills gaps across the team and between teams and locations.
  • Assist the recruitment process into the team with candidate reviewing, interviewing, and candidate technical test reviewing
  • Take responsibility for the team delivery through capacity and resource management.
  • To develop and motivate the IT Team across the business
