Job Purpose:

To ensure that company technology platforms and associated delivery practices are optimal to delivering the digital strategy.

Taking into consideration the current and emerging technological realities, opportunities and threats; the role holder will drive technology innovation and lead product development.Possess an excellent technical background having led/run DevOps teams and product rationalisation projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the product, delivery and architecture teams,
• Deliver the digital strategy and product roadmaps
• Partner with the business to develop digital products and services for internal and external customers
• Introduce and ensure continued refresh of modern delivery practices
• Optimise delivery for quality, velocity and value
• External scanning and assessment of industry trends and technologies
• Act as a thought leader on emerging technologies
• Source, retain and develop the right technical talent and capabilities
• Assessment and selection of the most appropriate technology for emerging requirements/products
• Set and define technology standards and working practices
• Champion and change agent for the organisational changes required to create and sustain enterprise digital capabilities
• Manage technology vendors and procurement, partnering with the IT vendor manager
• Contribute to development of company digital strategy
• Own and define the technology platform and roadmap to deliver/execute the IT/digital strategy
• Deputise for the Group Information Officer as necessary
