The Need

This e-commerce business is growing extremely fast. Sales doubled to £12m last year. having successfully launched internationally into the USA, Europe, and Australia, they now have ambitious plans to launch into China and Asia this year. Their rapid growth shows no signs of slowing down.

This recent growth and expansion plans have left them with the need to invest heavily in technology. Having just recently hired their first inhouse cross-functional agile development team, they now need a CTO to head up their technology function and execute their ambitious road map.

This role would suit someone who is already a CTO in an SME online retail business who understands the technical challenges needed to build and sustain an e-commerce platform that is experiencing 100% year on year growth.

What they are looking for from a CTO

• First and foremost you will already be a CTO of an e-commerce business. (Experience with an off the shelf e-commerce platform such as Shopify plus or Magento is a bonus).
• You will previous experience of working in and have a passion for working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
• You will have a proven track record of hiring, retaining, growing, and motivating technical teams/departments.
• Experience of working in an agile environment.
