Head of Software Engineering - Billericay

Award winning and innovative Times Tech 50 company based in Billericay has an exciting and challenging opening for a Head of Software Engineering.

The core cloud platforms have been built using a number of enterprise technologies such as .NET/Java tech stacks and other open source technologies. We are looking for a successful, tech driven and focussed Head of Softwae Engineering who has experience with cross functional, split Agile teams, and working to a DevOps mindset.

Reporting directly to the board you will lead a team of 14 Software Engineers and be responsible for liaising between the QA, Product, Development and Infrastructure teams. You must be able to effectively implement Agile development ethos throughout business, ensuring you strive for efficiency and a true innovative R&D division.

A minimum of 12 months is required in a similar position where you may have managed a team of developers, consulted and coached the team through the Agile process. This role also requires sound awareness around application architecture development/strategies.

The business requires a Head of Software Engineering who has experience implementing agile processes (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban) and effective continuous integration/deployment.

Most importantly this role is all about providing leadership, guidance and motivating the development team, ensuring the developers recognise their talents and their careers nurtured.

Though this is a Senior role, there is still plenty of scope for career progression
