We are recruiting an Operations Manager role for a rapidly expanding niche Manufacturer based in Walsall. With a global customer base & a number of exciting projects due to launch over the next 12 months, this is a fantastic time to join their business. Ideally you will be at Production Manager level looking to make the step up into Operations. Furthermore, you will be a natural process improver, a forward thinker who has a proven ability to coach & mentor teams. In return you will have full autonomy & opportunities to progress.

Description

Leading a team of 40 people across Production, this role will report directly into the Senior leadership team.

• Lead a team to deliver KPI's across quality, cost and delivery on time against tight deadlines
• Continually drive team plans through training and development
• Instil and drive a strong continuous improvement culture through scrap reduction, SMED and TPM improvements
• Work closely with quality to help improve metrics across RFT and PPM
• Identify and respond to under performing product lines with appropriate action plans
• Work and assist with the quality team to adhere to ISO9001 standards
• Drive and set OEE improvements and targets

Profile

• Industrial manufacturing background, ideally from Tier 1 Auto/Aero
• Strong Lean/CI experience, six sigma accreditation would be beneficial
• Proven ability to coach and mentor teams
• Forward thinking individual
