Client Details

Our client is a market leading Global FTSE 250 Aerospace Manufacturer based in the black country region. With international reach & a growing order book, the successful candidate will join a stable, growing market leader. The successful candidate will be degree educated, a proven process improver with an strong ability to coach and mentor teams. Furthermore you will ideally be from an Automotive or Aerospace background.

Description

  • Understand and delivers customer needs: Responsible for On Time Delivery (OTD) in the Value Stream. Maintains responsive and proactive relationships between teams to deliver operational targets
  • Lead and supports high levels of process discipline whilst driving continuous improvement of processes and operational performance of functional responsibilities within the scope of regional/global process owner agreement. Drives local improvement plans by introducing lean methodologies, focusing on key drivers such as OEE and ensuring production targets are met / exceeded
  • Co-ordinates and maintains the availability of reports and information (to line supervision and key stakeholders) including accurate delivery forecasts to internal and external customers, daily status reports for all cells and ensures that key stakeholders are informed
  • Lead the day to day improvement activities by mobilising all the VS team in Lean activities. Engage and mobilise the required personnel and resources outside of the VS that are required for improvement
  • Leads the team providing coaching and support but acting decisively when necessary. Works with individuals to discuss, agree and engineer development moves, working collaboratively across the organisation to create career plans. which anticipates future people and organisation needs
  • Ensures that local practice aligns with Global direction and agreed best practice. Establishes strong interconnecting relationships with Global teams. Works to engage Supply Chain partners (internal and external) in meeting and improving

Profile

  • Ideally degree qualified
  • Industrial manufacturing background
  • Strong Lean/CI experience, six sigma accreditation would be beneficial
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor teams
  • Must be forward thinking
