Arts Council England
Chief Data Officer

Arts Council England exists to champion culture and creativity across the country, to encourage talent in every corner of the nation, and to support artists, practitioners and cultural organisations as they work together in this vital sector. Its new Let’s Create strategy builds a vision to create new opportunities for every person in England to get creative and enjoy brilliant culture.

To deliver this vision and maximise its impact Arts Council England needs great data. In creating the role of Chief Data Officer ACE is looking to build great data systems, but more importantly to put data at the heart of its decision-making – to develop data literacy, and communicate to the team, and to the wider arts environment, how data can help inform decisions and evidence change and impact. Most importantly the role will need a talent for engaging across a wide and diverse organisation how data can be used to support complex business challenges and opportunities.

We are keen to speak to people who share this passion, who combine experience of building successful data functions with a track record in leading culture change around data. You might have built your experience in any sector - key to this role is a gift for helping organisations use data to measure and tell the story of positive social impact.

In keeping with the Arts Council’s commitment to increasing representation in the sector we’re eager that candidates from diverse backgrounds explore this opportunity, and the Arts Council more broadly.

This role can be based in any Arts Council office outside London. Full details, including how to apply, are here https://search.green-park.co.uk/artscouncilcdo/welcome/.

Closing date 8.00am Monday 12th October 2020
