About Our Client

BauWatch is an entrepreneurial, high growth, international market leader in the delivery of temporary security solutions to an enviable portfolio of clients in the construction, industrial, and outdoor events sectors. This PE-backed business has developed a broad range of innovative security solutions that have enabled BauWatch to attain considerable growth and market share in Northern Europe. The business is entering an exciting phase in its development and has recently taken the decision to expand the operation and establish a business in the UK. As a result, there is a need to recruit an MD to build the UK business that will maximise the market opportunities

Job Description

Reporting to the CEO the key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and deploying a business strategy that launches the UK business and ensures profitable growth and market penetration.
  • Building a UK business that will ensure the business attracts, develops, and retains key talent across commercial and operational functions
  • Managing commercial and service operations across the division, whilst taking full responsibility for P&L and reporting to the Group Board
  • Managing and building key relationships with new and existing clients and overseeing all major bids and contracts
  • Introducing new and creative approaches to business development and customer service that will significantly impact the growth and development of the business
  • Developing a culture for the business focussed on sales and customer service
  • Assessing and analysing new market opportunities that could further enhance the client and service portfolio

The Successful Applicant

Prospective candidates will be of graduate calibre, entrepreneurial in style, with a demonstrable track record of success operating in commercial leadership roles gained in B2B sales and service businesses. Full p&l experience with a sales business development background will be a prerequisite. Of equal importance are excellent leadership skills coupled with a strong commercial awareness that ensure the UK business attains high growth and maximises market opportunities
