Part-Time Finance Director / Luxury / Brands 100K Pro Rata
My Client is a leading British based luxury brand based in Knightsbridge.
Covering fashion accessories for the UK and international markets , my client has a role for a Part Time (24 hours) Finance Director to join their London team .
Job Purpose
The Finance Director is responsible for giving strategic financial direction to the Group and it's brands.
As the senior finance professional within in the group, the FD will support the group finance manager and the senior management team of the various brands. This will include making sound financial decisions, tracking and driving performance across the group and engaging by proposing solutions to any relevant challenges the group and it brands face
As the company is small, the Finance Director should expect to be involved in a wide range of areas which may include international expansion projects, future acquisitions, and major investments as well as helping the brands to implement best practices within their finance function. He or she should be cost conscious and truly dedicated to helping build long term value for the group's stakeholders.
This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer of my group. The Finance Director shall support the CEO through organisational, process and system changes to ensure that the Company is well positioned to achieve sustained growth and play a key role in Acquisition projects
Job Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for all aspects of the Finance function (on a global basis) including:
- Organising the financial systems, processes and controls. Define and enforce financial policies across the group
- Oversee implementation of consistent cost centres
- Monthly reporting to the Board, together with suitable financial reports, and maintain effective communication with shareholders
- Ensuring timely issuance of management accounts for all profit and cost centres of the business
- Oversee Planning, budgeting/forecasting, cash-flows,
Required Qualifications:
- Deep experience of running a finance function in one or more comparable private companies and having achieved demonstrable success in this
- Strong commercial experience
- Experience in working with private equity owned businesses
- A team player, sensitive to the needs and issues of his/her colleagues who enjoys working
- Experience of working in export markets such as the USA would be helpful
- A background in a relevant sector would be advantageous but is not essential
