Our client, a progressive Real Estate Investment firm is looking to hire a CFO. This is a senior position working closely with the CEO.
Responsibilities include:
- Inform and influence decision-making as part of the Board, challenging when necessary and helping both develop and implement robust forward strategies for the company.
- Provide the CEO and management team with the required detailed insight and analysis to generate effective financial plans and to prepare investment proposals.
- Develop and provide regular and insightful management accounts, forecasts, analysis and commentary to the Board, highlighting portfolio performance.
- Ensure there is an environment of strong financial control and balance sheet integrity underpinned by reliable finance processes and governance across the organisation.
- Lead on all aspects of management of the real estate portfolio, supporting on all additional investments and acquisitions.
- Effective management of cash-flow including forecasting and analysis and expense management.
- Management of accounting, legal and regulatory compliance across the company ensuring all deadlines are met and maintaining an appropriate control environment for an FCA regulated business.
- Monitor cash balances, cash forecast and investment funds; Provide annual budget and cash flow reports for each major asset class.
- Represent the company with third party banks, real estate tax professionals and accounting firms.
- Keep up with current market trends in the Finance and Real Estate industry.
- Develop and optimise accounting, process and controls and lead on IT & systems across the organisation.
- Understand, mitigate and manage all elements of the company's risk profile.
- Manage, mentor and develop the finance function.
- Lead the company's relationship with its auditors and take responsibility for the annual audit of the company's financial statements.
- Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced, including fund administration.
We are looking for an experienced CFO who has operated in Real Estate funds, ideally within Private Equity.
