A leading financial services organisation looking for an Automation Architect based in Cardiff.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the continual optimisation and development of process and transformation technology, applications, automation infrastructure & 3rd party relationships / licensing
  • Ensuring technology remains current & delivers value in line with contractual licensing agreements
  • Responsible for identifying and introducing new technologies broaden the automation service offering across the business
  • Responsible for developing and delivering architectural project deliverable
  • Delivering Technology Design Assessments, Technical Options Papers, High Level Designs, Change Requests, Impact Assessments, and where necessary technical roadmaps and strategy papers
  • Solution Architect and provide technical governance on individual process assessments - design of end to end solutions
  • Act as a functional and technical expert for solutions - application of automation technologies & the interaction and integration of these within the wider architecture to deliver effective and efficient solutions
  • Identify, evaluate and raise risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
  • Solutions to mitigate risk and issues
  • Compliance with methodology, standards, policies and procedures to produce a consistent high standard of documentation and strong operational governance

Profile

The person:

  • Understanding of automation development
  • Experience of establishing and scaling automation functions
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple automation applications - Blue Prism Process & Object Studio, Xceptor, Duco etc…
  • Experience in end-to-end solution design
  • Experience of working within Agile / DevOps environments
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and SQL (Transact & DB2) to build efficient, complex queries & Database Applications
  • Familiarity with Python / Java / C/C++
  • Understanding the Regulatory framework of the UK Financial Services industry

Certifications (desirable):

  • TOGAF certified
  • IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)
  • Blue Prism ROM Architect
  • Green Belt Six Sigma

Job Offer

£80,000 - £100,000 based on experience + very attractive package
