Chief Financial Officer - Hertfordshire - c£100,000pa +Bonus and package

Are you a driven finance leader?

An established, successful and dynamic, rapid growth business based in Hertfordshire are looking to recruit a like-minded CFO. The business has recently accelerated their expansion and with a substantial set up overseas, the options for the next stage of their journey include a number of routes from stock market float, VC/PE involvement, acquisition etc.

The ideal applicant will have experience of sitting at board level and will be confident working closely with the founder/CEO to explore and execute top level strategies.

The CEO is keen to ensure there is a succession plan in place for both himself, and the current highly capable Finance Director. The FD who oversees and runs the day to day finance function and the production of highly insightful and effective management reporting, is likely to be stepping back over the next 18-24 months, so forward planning will be important. Although a 'hands-on' mentality will be required at times, the initial focus will be to take an overview of the business/territories ,and to concentrate on identifying and driving strategy, capital management and operations.

You will need relevant experience of working within and driving a growth business to 'the next level', including M&A and/or exit strategies.

Whilst expected at this level, you will have excellent communication skills, be able to present to high level stakeholders and investors as well as other contacts, and ensure that the most robust controls and procedures available are implemented.

Experience of leading high performance teams and strong commercial and technical skills (ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified) will be required for this opportunity. Industry sector not overly important on this assignment, but ideally someone from a small to mid-sized firm (Turnover £15- £50 million).
