A highly ambitious Leicestershire business is seeking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to drive the company's finance function, and help the business fulfil its potential. As Financial Controller you will have the chance to work with a tight-knit team and have a broad range of responsibilities that go beyond a typical financial controller role.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a highly entrepreneurial and fast-growing SME company, getting integrally involved with full ownership for the finance function and a broad remit across the business. You will be tasked with ensuring that processes and controls are efficient and supporting the Board in decision making and the opportunity to have tremendous influence, leading at all levels to drive growth and change.

As a growing SME business, this is a hands on role, and you will naturally gravitate toward the use of the full range of weapons in your artillery, covering all aspects of the day to day finance function including month end, management accounts, financial accounting and accounts prep for Audit. The team need a strong leader, someone who taking a full view of everything can make decisions, lead and build a strong relationship with both local and external stakeholders.

The Financial Controller will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA), with experience as financial controller in an SME environment. This role has the opportunity to include a long term succession plan therefore would suit someone who is ambitious and would relish the opportunity to influence the direction and growth of the business
