A start-up is looking for a Technical Lead/CTO to join and lead the world's first bespoke Art Discovery and Socialising platform. Building on from the wealth of in-house data knowledge on recognised artistic works you will be responsible for taking the current internal prototypes to full public release. Combining technologies such as machine learning, image recognition and augmented reality, with beautiful UX and UI designs you will drive the production of a variety of services and applications to build a mobile focused community for the discovery, learning, sharing and enjoyment of recognised artworks. You will be the lead voice in how the technology is shaped to produce this world reaching product and immediately set the tech roadmap for an entirely greenfield product and hire a team of engineers to deliver it.

Your typical day will consist of:

• Organising the team to plan daily tasks
• Managing dependencies between the various components to ensure work streams are not blocked
• Development tasks from the product backlog
• Working alongside the UX/UI designers to create user journeys and designs for features
• Refining future requirements with the product stakeholders and engineers
• Leading architectural discussions on the right solutions to technical challenges
• Working with recruitment to grow the team
• Code review and testing

You will have:

• Senior / Lead Experience in one of Mobile Development, Back End and Infrastructure or Software Architecture
• Experience in an iterative development environment
• Been a senior member of a team producing a publicly available mobile application with a significant user base
• Strong technical skills in another supporting discipline
• Experience working with UX/UI designers to create usable and beautiful applications
• Worked with CI/CD infrastructure
• Experience with one of the cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) using a variety of "as a service" products
