People Director (12 month contract)

An opportunity has been created for a Senior HR Business Partner to support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Board Member of a significant, progressive and values driven brand. The People Director will be integral to the leadership team helping to shape and influence strategy and drive the HR agenda across the operations and technology functions. This is a demanding area of the business experiencing significant transformation and employs c8,000 colleagues including contractors. The People Director will be responsible for developing, facilitating and delivering the people plan, advise on Reward, Resourcing, Employee Relations, OD, Culture, workforce planning and manage, coach and develop a team of HR Business Partners to enable an effective and cohesive partnering service.

The role requires a HR Generalist with experience of partnering ExCo/Board level stakeholders within a technology driven and transforming business. A track record of supporting a COO function delivering significant business and IT change programmes and familiarity with an agile working environment is desirable. Candidates will be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and bring experience of developing and delivering comprehensive people plans with clear business outcomes/benefits. A collaborative approach yet able to challenge current thinking and influence behaviour and cultural change will be key for success in this role.
