WtY is seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive (CEO) to lead the organisation by creating the strategic and cultural direction to deliver the vision of WtY and build upon this incredible success. Reporting to the Chair and WtY Board of Directors, the CEO will act as an ambassador for Yorkshire and promote the county and the WtY brand to a local, regional, national and international audience. Leading a team of c50 people, the CEO will be responsible for a high performance executive team to ensure high levels of employee engagement throughout the organisation.
The Board is seeking an energetic, driven and experienced senior executive with a track record in business development who can evidence business success through innovation and creativity. With commercial, financial and organisation skills to manage growth and change, they will be a visionary, values led and inclusive leader with demonstrable experience of creating motivated, highly effective teams. Experience of creating, developing and maintaining open, transparent and effective working relationships across varied stakeholder environments (public and private sectors) is essential for success in this high-profile appointment. The successful candidate will be recognised for their skill in managing a public facing role including confidence in public speaking and all forms of media communication.
