This is a key appointment with this market leading, well known company, which has an internationally recognised brand name, operating in the high end and versatile specialist wall coverings sector.  This is a manufacturing company with an unrivalled product offering.  Its routes to market include through specifiers, designers and end clients.  This key role is focused on building and delivering growth within the specification market which offers significant global potential. 

Reporting to the Managing Director, the focus of the role will be to sell and grow the business through designers, property management companies, both groups and independents and contractors. A primary source of business will be Central London and within the M25, where you will develop strong relationships with specifiers and the design community. The reach of the customer base will go beyond the UK and spread internationally. You will deliver a winning business development strategy for specifications of their products and interface constantly with your colleagues in the team, including manufacturing and product design and there is significant potential for success. 

As the business is very customer facing and operates through a very friendly professional approach, you will need to have excellent interpersonal and networking skills coupled with lots of emotional intelligence in order to achieve your goals. Graduate qualified, you must be able to demonstrate success in high quality design led products environments. Your formative career will include sales training and early experience in world-class, demanding, customer oriented B2B environments.  Sectors of specific interest to the client include fabrics, carpets, wall coverings, flooring, furniture or soft furnishings all being sold on a B2B commercial/contract basis. A flair for design led products would be essential.
