Communicate are delighted to be working with a large global food manufacturer to place a Divisional Finance Director in Milan.

Our client, a major player in the FMCG space, are in need of an experienced FD/CFO with a strong end-to-end M&A background, who has the ability to drive a vast amount of change in a division that is on the up.

The division has seen some exciting recent acquisitions and are looking to replicate this work over the coming year. For that reason, they are looking to hire a Finance Director who possesses the gravitas and ethic to drive change within a fast-growing area of the company. The chosen candidate will have extensive experience operating at senior level within the FMCG space. You will need to be technically competent, but first and foremost possess a strong commercial operational mind-set.

The position requires an extremely fast turnaround, so ideally you will be on a maximum of 3 months’ notice. The role will be based out in Milan and will requires somebody to be out there for a minimum of 3 years. A relocation package will be considered for those moving internationally.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • ACA/CIMA qualified
  • Prior P&L ownership of FD divisions with a turnover of at least c.£150m
  • Substantial knowledge within the FMCG space
  • Strong commercial operational understanding
  • Prior experience working in a European finance team
  • A natural drive to make a positive turnaround within a company.
  • Preference towards an Italian speaker, although this is not an essential requirement
