Non-Executive Director - Fully Biodegradable Plastics

Our client is a pre-seed funded, Biotech start up focused on developing fully bio-degradable polymers from unique materials to improve industrial processes, products and the environment. The business is creating unique IP and is working in collaboration with several high-profile education and research establishments. The Board of Directors and Executives are high profile or eminent in their fields and have unique experiences, combined with a high level of commercial success in founding, establishing and taking businesses through funding to IPO.

We are looking for a unique candidate, ideally being a 'Plastics or Bio Plastics Guru' you will have been involved in the plastics and material science industry over many years and will have been at the forefront of many new initiatives and challenges. You will have a high degree of commercial competence, being able to guide and navigate your way to successful outcomes, taking a proof of concept through engineering, production and commercial stages to create a viable Vendor business that has operated across a range of verticals sectors and markets and may have included the 'recovery' element of a recyclable ecosystem.

You will also be able to demonstrate positive engagement with the Chief Technical Officer and Production functions and be able to advise a sophisticated set of Board functions, including CEO and Chairman.
