Group Finance Director - West London - to £160,000 - c50% bonus with potential to earn more, wealth creation scheme

Our client is a niche Aim Listed branded consumer goods business that operates successfully in a fragmented marketplace. With revenues in excess of £20 million it is one of the twenty five largest companies in the UK in its field, is profitable and has a significant “war chest“ to support continued acquisitive growth.  To strengthen and compliment the executive, we seek to appoint a well-rounded commercial Group Finance Director with obvious strategic expertise and M&A experience. 

The successful candidate will lead and manage Finance, IT and Supply Chain functions and be responsible for financial accounting, management accounting and reporting, treasury and legal advisory services. He/she will provide board support, monitor the ongoing strategy process, lead the integration of financial control/ reporting processes of acquired businesses and work with the CEO to identify, evaluate and pursue acquisition targets. The Group Finance Director will work with the CEO to prepare business cases for board approval and identity and execute funding options and will both challenge and support colleagues across the business. 

The individual to be appointed will in all likelihood be a Chartered Accountant with ideally experience of Corporate Finance in a consumer team and with obvious potential to progress.  A good communicator with a desire to be involved right across the business, the successful candidate will be comfortable in a highly creative artisanal business with an unyielding passion for product. The business needs to be “commercialised“ without losing the values of the highest levels of customer service and passion for product central to its success and to the DNA of the team.
