Job Description

As the Managing Director predominately based from Kendal, you be the inspirational and entrepreneurial driving force behind Colourform. You will be a driven and energetic lateral thinking commercial leader who will make Colourform the packaging brand of choice for beauty, cosmetic and consumer brands (and beyond), around the world.

You'll be full of ideas on how we can expand our customer base (that span independent brands all the way to large multinationals) and grow our international business with a seamless strategy. Colourform already have some great customers in many countries, but you will define the strategy and lead the charge to drive depth in key territories to extend our reach across the world.

You will lead an incredible group of people who are always looking for the next exciting thing to propel the business forward. You'll also be a pivotal member of the very talented senior leadership team shaping the future of this forward thinking business. You'll be adaptable, flexible and embrace future growth and change

The Successful Applicant

The Managing Director position offers an exciting, challenging, and rewarding opportunity to work in a unique and high potential business.

It is anticipated the successful candidate will have a successful sales/commercial biased background to lead the rapid profitable growth of the business from creating clear business strategies, to working hands-on with the design, operations, marketing, business development and finance teams. This means you will be approachable and collaborative in style and very action and results orientated.

Of equal important to your leadership ability will be your appreciation for the design and creation of products, design aesthetic, brand and packaging. You will be passionate, inspired and understanding of sustainable packaging and the difference it can make to society and the wider environment.

You may have gained the process, rigour and disciplines from a blue chip organisation but clearly have an expert understanding and appreciation of how to effectively lead in a business with a strong legacy, family ethos and clear direction of travel

You will already have a proven track record of operating as a business leader and now be seeking your next challenge with the desire and passion to be part of an organisation that can provide opportunities for larger leadership positions

The position is based from the Head Office in Kendal meaning you will already be based in the North West, or realistically be able to relocate to the region.
