Finance Director l VC backed l Hotel Expansion l Central London

The company

Harmonic are privileged to be supporting a VC backed hotel chain, with an established footing in the London hotel market and fresh investment our client is now looking to future expansion. This presents an exciting opportunity to join the Senior Leadership team as a Finance Director and become instrumental in building future progress and development within a propserous market.

As a result of success in pioneering many new expansion projects within the last 5 years, our client is now looking for a talented Finance Director who will be able orchestrate and build this vision whilst ensuring the financial responsibilities of the existing business are met. The expectation from the new Finance Director is to be highly motivated and commercially aware, as well as maintaining a passion for hospitality and commercial development with an emphasis on sustainable development.

The Role

• Support negotiations for new leases
• Create accurate forecasting models to show profit and loss for both banks and Venture Capitalists
• Actively support the banks and investors as the main point of contact
• Ensure P&Ls are tracked and provide full detailed commentary
• Present forecasts and benefits to investors and bank
• Manage the finance team with an emphasis on expanding the team, maintaining core company values and ambition
• Ensure that management accounts are produced efficiently
• Full oversight of financial system
• Responsibility for molding the finance system, developing and maintaining to the highest standard.

Essential Skills

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Experience within the hospitality sector or scaling businesses
• Highly motivated with a desire for growth
• Experienced communicator and negotiator
• Commercially astute
• Ability to engage with stakeholders

Bonus Skills

• Experience of working with Microsoft NAV
• 3 years' experience as a Financial Director in a business with a turnover in excess of £10 million.
• Previous experience leading a hospitality merger / acquisition

Salary: £90-110k (plus discretionary bonus)
