St Hugh’s is one of the largest colleges in the University of Oxford, set in 14 acres of beautiful grounds, with more than 800 graduate and undergraduate students, 70 Fellows, 30 lecturers and a non-academic staff of 100.
The Bursar is the Chief Operating Officer of the College with a wide remit directing and supervising the senior management team, responsible for managing the College’s financial, domestic and administrative affairs, as well as investment, grounds and buildings. He/she will be a member of the College’s Governing Body.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, with senior management experience and a record of strategic planning. The new Bursar will take an active role in the design and delivery of an ambitious new project.

It was founded in 1886 by Elizabeth Wordsworth as a women's college, and accepted its first male students in its centenary year in 1986.
