We are working on behalf of a leading Manufacturing and Distribution organisation who are looking to recruit a Group Operations Director covering a number of sites across the UK. The business operate within an industry that has seen significant growth over the last number of years an are investing heavily in new technology to support future demand.

We are working on behalf of a leading Manufacturing and Distribution organisation who are looking to recruit a Group Operations Director covering a number of sites across the UK. The business operate within an industry that has seen significant growth over the last number of years an are investing heavily in new technology to support future demand.

The business are a specialist within their field and continually invest in innovation and operational excellence. Supplying into a number of blue-chip customers who they have built up strong collaborative working partnerships with they pride themselves on offering excellent service levels within a fast paced, demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for total operational performance across a multi-site operation with control for UK operations
  • Analyse and review operational processes and develop a strategic plan to support the organisation to drive operational performance and support the growth of the business to meet key objectives
  • Implement operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the business and support site managers and key stakeholders to fully embed within the business
  • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to to influence positive change
  • Full P&L responsibility

The successful candidate must possess:

  • Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent, with a proven track record leading large teams across a multi-site operation ideally within a fast paced operation.
  • Ability to engage and drive transformation and can demonstrate previous experience implementing process improvement / CI Initiatives with positive results
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead, coach & develop and be an inspirational leader
  • Must have strong stakeholder engagement skills to influence senior stakeholders in order to deliver enhanced operational performance, productivity and service excellence
  • Must have P&L responsibility and possess a financial & analytical mindset
