Head of Service Delivery
Company:
A highly reputable and market-leading organisation is currently searching for a Head of Service Delivery on an initially 6-month contract basis. The chosen Head of Service Delivery will liaise with the internal project and development team(s), internal customers, and third-party suppliers to create a strong service delivery culture in IT.
Opportunity:
To manage the delivery of IT service to the business, including establishing the procedures and processes needed to implement a major upgrade of all core systems and generally upgrade their approach to IT service delivery from a small to medium company approach.
Core Responsibilities:
• Manage the delivery of all IT services to support the business
• Ensure that there is complete service support and delivery coverage for all key IT services and systems in the business
• Work alongside the change programme team(s) to ensure the smooth transition from existing platforms and systems to the forthcoming new systems and infrastructure
• Manage all aspects of infrastructure delivery, including on-premise and cloud, the network including cabling, database support, core software releases, via a portfolio of 3rd party contracts
• Evaluate existing third party contracts, ensure they meet the needs of the business, propose and put in place additional or substitute contracts as necessary.
• Continued evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of service delivery, including budgetary accountability
• Initiate service, incident, problem management across the different departments.
Core Skill Set:
• Deep knowledge of methodologies and processes used for supporting IT effectively
• Previous experience leading the implementation of an ERP system.
• ITIL (or similar) qualification would be advantageous, although not mandatory for a candidate with equivalent practical experience
• Broad knowledge of IT, gained in a real-time customer-facing environment such as retail or high volume transactional website
• Knowledge of service management toolsets and reporting
• Experience of management of service delivery in a mixed third-party/1st-party applications environment
• Previous experience being fully accountable for service delivery, measured via appropriate KPIs and compliance standards
• Able to lead change quickly, assertively and diplomatically, and prioritise effectively
Rate - £400-£500 per day + 6-month initial contract.
