An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Finance Director to take the helm at a family owned investment company made up of two separate trading groups.
The Finance Director will take responsibility for the central portfolio and manage a small finance team as well as the accounting by external agents

Responsibilities & Duties
The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience in a similar position and will demonstrate proven ability with regard to:
- Management of the finance team
- Production of the Group Financial Statements
- Full ownership of budgeting and forecasting
- Ongoing examination of the business and financial results
- Management of Company's cash flow and the relationships with the banks and lenders
- Handling tax issues, including transfer pricing, capital allowances, VAT, Corporation Tax & Stamp Duty
- Project accounting in relation to various joint ventures the business is involved
- Overview of corporate structure
- Oversee corporate sales ensuring all corporate due diligence handled promptly and efficiently
- Reporting to the Company's Board of Directors, including preparation of presentations and other reports, as required
- Management of external advisors and relationships (auditors, consultants, banks and authorities)
- Answering due diligence questions as requested as properties and subsidiaries are bought and sold.
- Preparation of the consolidated financial statements, along with the related and accompanying information
- Process improvement
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or similar)
- Proven record of management of a finance team.
- Strong people manager ?with the ability to motivate & inspire both the finance and operational stakeholders
- The accounts office is small and the candidate must be prepared to get involved in the detail from grass roots up.
- An eye for detail and process
- Diplomatic with the ability to assess the relative merits of internal pressures and to state clearly the financial position.
