Recent success and changes to government policy has afforded the business the opportunity to access new markets, leading to the creation of this post to support the wider business development activities of the group.
As Bid Director, you will have a national remit to drive business growth across the group, with the authority to secure new business and retain existing contracts. You will be responsible for leading multi-functional teams on the successful delivery of highly complex and diverse bids for the group in close association with the Business Development team. You will take ownership for the development of win strategies, set against our values proposition and build a success-orientated culture that provides constructive challenges as required. You will lead the bid cycles across the business and leverage relationships, both internally and externally, to ensure the business continues to succeed in new and existing markets in a sustainable way.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable evidence of leadership in a bid management role in a complex, service-led environment and have the presence to shape strategy in line with business opportunities and needs. Importantly, you must be innovative in your thinking capacity, build relationships with consummate ease and have the strategic thinking and planning skills to succeed in a constantly evolving and progressive group structure. Adding to this, you must have the ability to drive the quality agenda, be purposeful in approach and work as part of a team that will shape the long-term growth agenda for the business.
