Our client is a global leading international food group with revenues exceeding €3bn and an enviable market share across branded and Private label categories in the UK market. Due to growth in the region and subsequent restructure of the Commercial leadership team in Europe
they are looking to appoint a UK Commercial Director.

The Role:

  • Reporting directly to European Managing Director and a key member of the senior leadership team you will have complete control over the UK commercial function where you will focus on growing revenues through predominantly existing accounts.
  • Operating through both a hands on and strategic approach you will shape, lead and mentor a large multifunctional national team with 7 direct reports.
  • Will engage with customers to build strong collaborative relationships across multiple business channels and work closely with other functional leaders to ensure targets are achieved.
  • This role will morph into a general management (UK MD) position once established/proven.

The Person:

  • Degree educated and ideally blue-chip trained you will have extensive experience working alongside the UK Grocers in a collaborative manner with the ability to prove you can increase commercial performance.
  • Will have significant experience leading new product development initiatives alongside.
  • Grocers, exposure to brands and private label short shelf life foods would be highly advantageous.
  • Extensive experience leading a multifunctional team with the ability to prove you can work closely alongside other functional leaders including operations to increase sales.
