The client is a successful, profitable, established and growing business, providing a portfolio of leisure, sporting and entertainment services to consumers throughout the UK. They are looking to scale up the operation and franchise some of the offerings overseas. Business development is through joint ventures and Digital and Social Media channels and platforms, and they invest in the full mix of Digital activities to raise brand profile, drive customer acquisition, and to communicate, service, and interact with their customers.
Working alongside the MD, the key focus will be to drive future growth across both the UK and, more especially, International markets. Ambitious targets for continuing profitable growth are targeted and the role will be accountable and responsible for the delivery of future success. The Commercial Director will also need to be heavily involved in ensuring the processes and systems are working efficiently so as to maximise the growth, and that a rigorous system of client satisfaction, customer service, franchise management and performance measurement, is developed and adhered to.
Key areas of responsibility will be:
- Sales growth. - direct and via franchise models.
- Strategic and operational leadership - where to go / how to get there.
- Product and brand development.
- P&L performance.
The Commercial Director will take a key role in building the business internationally, developing a strategy, building a market presence, looking at international insight and building the brand.
Candidates will have a credible and progressive track record within entrepreneurial, fast moving and on-line based commercial organisations, in the UK, and ideally with experience of developing a business overseas. You will need to be very hands on, collaborative, innovative and ambitious. There is plenty of opportunity for the right candidate to grow with this organisation.
