Chief Technology Officer / CTO

My client is a leading British automotive services company headquartered in the midlands . Its principal services are roadside assistance and general insurance. Due to growth they are recruiting a new CTO to be based in their Bristol office .

The role will be responsible for leading 8 Direct Reports and an overall team of c45 colleagues as my client enters an exciting new phase as they execute the next stage of a key IT project

The position will suit someone looking to make their first move into a CTO position or someone operating at a similar level, working in a similar size organisation/team size.

The CTO Engineering will lead the technology engineering function including product implementation, application development, integration, and data & analytics functions, providing leadership for all technology engineering related activities, helping to drive my clients overall technology strategy to take the business forward.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential Criteria:

• Technologist with a broad knowledge across Architecture, DevOps & Digital.
• Demonstrable background working in a highly commercial business across software engineering, integrations and Technology, with a solid track record building web application.
• Extensive experience managing teams within an Agile environment.
• Technologist who can bring a wealth of expertise in execution of strategic change programmes.
• Wealth of capability across technology, engineering, Digital, Architecture & development with Microsoft Stack background preferred but not essential.
• Detailed knowledge of package software solutions, bespoke build and software integration.
• Capability to establish and lead large scale, high impact DevOps teams.
• Commercially-savvy with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Hands-on & dynamic leader.
